COMMERCIAL DOCUMENT ATTESTATION

Commercial Document Attestation in Dubai

MOAs, POAs, board resolutions and incorporation certificates need their own attestation chain — at a higher MOFA tariff than personal documents — before UAE authorities will accept them. Benchmark's corporate desk manages the full route.

Signatory authority checked first
Priority turnaround on deadlines
Secure tracked courier
Attested commercial documents ready for UAE company setup

What does commercial attestation confirm?

The document typically passes through the home country's Chamber of Commerce, notary, home-country MOFA, the UAE Embassy, and MOFA Dubai at the commercial tariff. DED, free zones, RAK ICC, ADGM, DIFC, UAE courts, banks and regulators require it before company formation, branch licensing, share transfers, litigation or corporate bank onboarding.

02

How Benchmark handles it

We review the document type, signatory authority and receiving UAE authority first, since corporate rejections almost always trace back to unclear signatory evidence rather than the attestation chain itself. Our overseas corporate desk coordinates Chamber of Commerce, notary, home-country MOFA and UAE Embassy attestation, we complete MOFA Dubai submission at the correct commercial tariff, and originals return by secure tracked courier.

03

When you need it

UAE company formation and branch setup requires foreign MOAs, incorporation certificates and board resolutions for DED, free zone and mainland branch setup — this connects directly to our Business Setup in Dubai service. Power of attorney execution covers corporate POAs to sign leases, open bank accounts or represent a parent company in UAE transactions. Court, arbitration and enforcement matters at UAE courts and DIFC/ADGM arbitration bodies require attested resolutions and contracts. And bank onboarding and investor filings require attested audited financials and shareholder documents for corporate accounts and investor licences. Ongoing compliance and licence renewals often run alongside our PRO Services.

04

What to prepare, and what causes rejection

Corporate files often need extra signatory evidence, which we confirm during the pre-check. You will typically need the original signed and stamped document, evidence of signatory authority (board resolution or incumbency certificate), a passport copy for every named signatory, and a certified translation if requested.

Most jurisdictions require Chamber attestation before national MOFA — skipping it breaks the chain regardless of how correct the rest of the file is. A missing board resolution or incumbency certificate means the embassy or MOFA cannot confirm signing authority. Submitting at the personal tariff (AED 150) instead of the commercial tariff (AED 2,000) is rejected instantly. And erased fields, blurred stamps or laminated pages are refused at the counter.

Why businesses use Benchmark for this

Corporate rejections cost real days at DED and the free zones, usually because signatory authority wasn't documented clearly from the start. Our corporate desk checks that before submission, and prioritises turnaround where a licence or bank deadline is genuinely at stake. Free collection from Business Bay, DIFC, Oud Metha and across Dubai keeps corporate files moving.
